Solver Page

This page allows the user to select the date, the source of the price forecasts (typically either predispatch, p5min or both) and the assumption set. The user then runs the solve cycle. The solve cycle takes about 7 seconds to formulate the optimal state of charge profile for the remaining predispatch time horizon and therefore the bids required to achieve this profile. To simulate an entire day’s outcome requires the solver to rerun every 5 minutes hence it takes approximately half an hour to run per day. Below is an example of a filled in Solve Run. Note that when using predispatch and/or p5min forecast prices the number of scenarios by definition is 1.
