Submit Mode

  • Submit Mode OFF means Algo bids will not be submitted as they are updated by pdBidr.

  • Submit Mode ON means the Algo bids are able to be submitted automatically.

The algorithms in the Autobidder are always running. When new Algo bids are reformulated the Autobidder checks that all of the following are true before submitting:

  • that there is a difference between the Algo bid and the Active Acknowledged Bid, and

  • that the submit mode is ON, and

  • that the last manual Acknowledged Bid (called the Reference Bid) was an input into the solve cycle that formulated the Algo bid,

    • (this ensures that the Algo bid is consistent with the latest manual bid).

If any of the above is not true then the Algo bid is not submitted. Either way the optimisation cycle begins anew. See Automated Bid Submission Processes for more detail.

Active Bids

  • An Active Acknowledged Bid represents the latest offer acknowledged by AEMO for a given settlementdate.

  • The Authorised By and Acknowledged at are shown in the chart title.

    • A Bid Authorised By pdBidr Algo is a bid formulated and submitted by pdBidr.

    • A Bid Authorised by pdBidr Sync is an Error bid submitted automatically by pdBidr. The content of a pdBidr Sync bid is the last manual bid and ensures that the last manual bid is the Active Acknowledged Bid.
