Description

The Bids Page is used:

  1. To provide summary information on the current status of various bid stages in pdBidr.

  2. To initiate an Action on a set of Bids (such as Switch Submit Mode).

  3. To provide detailed information on bids, algos and the submission progress.

  4. To edit individual bids.

  • Click Bids to open the Bid page

  • Select the settlementdate

  • Bids last synced shows the time since pdBidr last checked AEMO’s eHub-API for new Acknowledged Bids.

  • Latest AEMO Offer Timestamp shows the timestamp of the latest Acknowledged Bid for the selected settlementdate.


Information Summary

  • Hover over column headings to display the column meaning

Algo Auto Submit

  • Mode is the current Auto Submit Mode for submitting Algo Bids, either ON or OFF, for each unit and service.

    • Mode is dateless hence the state (ON or OFF) applies for all settlementdates.

  • Switched At is how long ago Submit Mode was last Switched by anybody.

  • Switched By is who last Switched Submit Mode.

  • Notes is the notes made by Switched By when they changed Submit Mode. Note that this fields is optional and hence may be empty.

  • Submit mode is dateless and therefore switching submit mode will apply to all dates.


Algo Bids

  • Modified At is the time since an Algo Bid was last formulated.

  • Solve Id is a unique identifier generated by pdBidr. A Solve Id is assigned to every solve run. The same Solve Id is assigned to each bid for a given solve run.

  • Click a cell in Modified At to open the latest Algo Bid for a particular unit and service.

  • Click a cell in Solve Id to open the details of the Solve for the latest Algo Bid.

    • Click here to open Solve Id page for detail which includes all of the inputs and outputs of the solver as well as the formulated bid and the other bid components (such as the last acknowledged bid used for the late rebidding period).


Algo Last Submission

  • Submission Status of the last submitted Algo bid

    • A green tick with 5/5 shows that all validations have passed and the bid was accepted by AEMO

  • Submitted At shows when the last Algo Bid was submitted

  • Submission Id is a unique identifier generated by pdBidr and is assigned to Algo Bids that are submitted, irrespective of whether the bid is acknowledged by AEMO or not.

  • Note: a blank row means no Algo Bid has been submitted for the given settlementdate


Your Draft Bids

  • The time since your Draft Bid was Last Modified

  • NOTE: This cell will be empty until you “Load into drafts”

  • NOTE: These bids are unique to your login. Another trader will have their own draft bids.

  • Click a cell in Modified At to open, inspect and edit a draft bid.


Your Last Submission

  • The three fields under Your Last Submission are the same as Algo Last Submission (see above) except the information is for your Last (manual) Submission submitted from pdBidr.

    • NOTE: bids from third party systems will not be visible here.

    • NOTE: all fields will be null until you submit a manual bid from pdBidr.

  • The Submission Status of the last submitted Draft (Manual) Bid

  • Submitted At is how long ago you submitted a Manual Bid from pdBidr.

  • Submission Id is a unique identifier generated by pdBidr and is assigned to your manual Bids submitted from pdBidr, irrespective of whether the bid is acknowledged by AEMO or not.


Active Acknowledged Bids

  • NEM time when AEMO Acknowledged the current active bid.

  • Who Authorised the current active bid.

  • Algo Check applies only when the Active Acknowledged Bid is an Algo Bid. FAIL means that the Active Acknowledged Bid is an Algo Bid that has consumed ery important ill ther information such as Rebid Reason (hidden).

  • Change the settlement date to perform actions or view information for a different date.

  • Expand column headers to access all column information.

Submit mode is dateless and therefore switching submit mode will apply to all dates.


Switch Submit Mode and other multiple bid actions

There are three actions that may be performed on multiple bids at one time.

  • Switch algo auto submit mode from ON to OFF and vice versa

  • Load other bids into draft bids

    • ‘other bids’ are acknowledged bids, a bid template, algo bid or draft bids (from another date)

  • Submit draft bids


Open any bid or submission

Click on any green information in the Bid page to open either a bid (algo, acknowledged or draft) or the last submission (algo or manual).


Edit draft bid

The only bid you may edit is your draft bid. If you would like to edit another bid, for example an algo bid, you must load it into draft first.

If the settlementdate is today then a draft bid will open on the current dispatch interval. This DI will be grey. The next DI is black text meaning it has yet to be dispatched by AEMO.

  • Use most standard key strokes to copy and paste cell values such as,

    • ctrl+C, shift + arrow, ctrl+V and ctrl+D

      • However ctrl + shift and page up/down are not supported in this table

  • Drag and drop works:

    • Click, hold and drag to select multiple cells in a row.

    • Click bottom left corner of selected cells, hold, drag down and release to copy to multiple rows.

This allows you to copy multiple cells in a row to rows underneath and/or above!

  • Expand pricebands to edit priceband $ values

  • Click ‘save changes’ to save your edits

    • 'unsaved changes' tells you there are edits that have not been saved

  • Click on the duid/service in the left hand navigation to move to another draft bid

  • Hover over chart to display values

Click the expand arrows for other bid information

  • A list of pricebands, unit information, MR price and validations is on the left hand side.

  • Failed validations are also highlighted in Validation list


Submission Status content

Submission Progress shows each stage of the bid submission process and the finish time.

  • Click on the Status of a Last Submission to view the bid submission info and progress

    • There are two Last Submissions: Algo Last Submission and Your Last Manual Submission

  • If a stage in the Submission Process fails, click ‘logs’ to inspect the reason
