  1. Algo Bid

  • Algo Bid Parameters are consumed by the Autobidder Algorithms.

  • Each Algo Bid Parameter applies to a specific unit and service and each value is inserted into the database with a begin date, end date and an insert date.

  • Where there are multiple parameter values with overlapping time periods then the value with the latest insert date applies.

Hover over Settings then click Algo Bid Parameters

Two time frames of information are provided for each parameter.

  • Current NEM Time shows the Value of each parameter which is currently being consumed by the Algorithms, the To Date Time is when this value expires, the Last Modified At is how long ago this value was inserted and Last Modified By is who inserted the value.

  • All Time shows the maximum To Date Time for all values of each parameter, how long ago the last value was Last Modified At and Last Modified By is who inserted the last updated value.

  • Click in the filter panel and select or deselect parameters you wish to view or hide

  • Click expand and collapse icons to hide and show parameters

    • in rows for a particular service or duid

    • in columns for additional filters and other information

  • Click on a parameter to view and edit

    • This will open the View and Edit a Parameter Page (see next section)

Tip

Select the chart value resolution (time step), From Date and Time Period. The chart will automatically update.

  • If an Algo Bid Parameter changes within a Time Step then the values shown for Max Value, Min Value and Average Value will be different. However for most of the time steps these values will be the same.

  • 1 day time step begins at 04:00 NEM time

Change Parameter Value

  1. Click in the Date Time Range box, you may then either;

    1. Select a Start Date and Time and an End Date and Time for when the Parameter value applies

      1. You must click OK to enter each Datetime

    2. Use the quick select buttons to enter a one click date range

    3. You may also manually edit the date

  3. Enter any notes (optional)

  4. Click the Add Changes button to insert value for the selected date range

Parameter Values History

This shows the history, and indeed most fields of the table where Algo Bid Parameters are stored. The list is in chronological order of insertion. The history provides a complete record of all the values that have been inserted.

Algo Bid Parameters can be added or removed by contacting pdView. Check your internal Autobidding documentation to see a full list of current Trader Parameters and your processes to manage them.

  1. Parameters is for setting the Trader Parameters (such as Trader Limit Volume) and any other parameters (such as utilisation of an FCAS or Loss Factors) that are inputs into either the solver or bid allocation process.

  2. Unit Capabilities is unit capability limits (such as Max Bid ROC Up).

  3. Users is for entering and viewing users that may submit bids and includes automated users that interact with the pdBidr (such as Postman) or submits bids (such as pdBidr Algo).

  4. Roles is for defining privileges that can then be allocated to Users.

  5. Bid Allocator (Demo) is a training tool for Users to better understand the effect on FCAS Bid Structure by changing various Trader Parameters.
