Optimal Bids The algorithms in the Autobidder are always running and optimal bids are always being reformulated , - irrespective of the Submit Mode, and bid . Bid submission occurs at a point within the reformulation cycle. When this point is reached the autobidder Autobidder checks the current submit mode and if it is ON then the new optimal bid is either submitted or otherwise the bid is not submitted.
Therefore switching the submit mode does not trigger (or stop) a submit bid activity, it effectively opens or closes a gate and when a new bid arrives at the gate it either passes through an open gate and is submitted or it finds the gate closed and it is not submitted.

Before submitting a bid, the Autobidder checks if a manual bid has been submitted in the interim (specifically it ensures that the last manual bid is the source of the physical components of the Algo bid). If a new manual bid has been detected the Algo bid is not submitted and the optimisation cycle starts anew. The Autobidder also compares the new Algo bid with the last acknowledged bid to ensure there has been a change in the bid. If there has been no change then the Algo bid is not submitted. |
